1920's Vintage Cabaret Fundraiser
A Weekend of 1920's Inspired Spectacle
January 4th-6th, 2013
Daydreams + Nightmares Aerial Theatre presents a 1920's Vintage Cabaret style of performances featuring live music, artisan cocktails, and fabulous food. Join us for a weekend of ritzy glamour, in the glass, on the plate, and in the air. This weekend of events, hosted at Baltimore Theatre Project, will benefit DNA Theatre's 2013 season of performances.
Prepare yourself for a soiree like no other. Feast your eyes on DNA Theatre's acrobatic acts with performers on aerial cloth, trapeze, handstraps and invented aerial apparatus. Dancers strut their stuff and contortionists flex to DNA Theatre's own 1920's speakeasy inspired band. The Bearcat Boas (Robin Hodson (Piano), Tony Calato (Drums), Joy Leah Sisson (Vocals), Joe Spatarella (Bass)) tickle your ears with classic hits from the vintage decade.
Saturday's 10pm show features a late-night lounge atmosphere with the region's sassiest Burlesque performers curated by Baltimore's infamous Kiki Allure. Aerial and Burlesque performers share the speakeasy to excite and entice in equal parts.
Dinner available one performance only: Jan 5th at 7:45pm
Baltimore's favorite personal chef David Bersch, prepares a Prohibition inspired haute cuisine menu of four incredible courses to tantalize your taste buds:
- Oysters Rockefeller - on the half shell scented with anise, finished with lardon, parmesan and parsley.
- Risotto Etouffee - simmered with crawfish and andouille, finished with Frank's Hot Sauce.
- Braised Short Ribs - served over parsnip puree with sauteed swiss chard, finished with blackberry demi-glace.
- Mousse Duo - chocolate and peanut butter mousse, topped with fresh whipped cream and candied peanuts.
Guests wishing to sit together may dine at a cabaret table of 4, or a more intimate table of 2. Diners must arrive together to be sat at the same table.
